Rev. Lonnie Poore was a U.S. Navy veteran and a faithful soldier in God’s army who answered his final call on August 20, 2017. For over fifty years, he preached the Word with power and humility—pastoring churches, conducting revivals, and mentoring young Christians with a heart full of compassion and conviction.

He was not only a beloved husband to his wife of 52 years, but also a spiritual father to many—including our own pastor, Bro. Jeff Clark, who credits Bro. Lonnie as a guiding influence in his life and ministry. Known for his kindness, strength, and unwavering dedication to the Gospel, Bro. Lonnie served with a deep love for God’s Word and God’s people.
