Lonnie Poore

Rev. Lonnie Poore was a U.S. Navy veteran and a faithful servant in God’s army who answered his final call on August 20, 2017. A humble, Spirit-led preacher, he spent over five decades ministering in churches across the region—conducting revivals, pastoring congregations, and mentoring young Christians with compassion and unwavering faith.

Alongside his beloved wife of 52 years, Brother Lonnie served with a heart for people and a deep love for the Word of God. Known for his kindness, strength, and dedication to the Gospel, he remained a steadfast warrior for Christ to the very end.

If you asked him today how he’s doing, he’d likely smile and say, “Better than I deserve.”
