Pastor Sammy Hall, born Claude Samuel Hall III on October 13, 1954, was a devoted servant of Christ who dedicated his life to ministry and prayer. Saved at the age of nine, he answered his call to preach at twenty-six and was ordained at thirty-seven. Throughout his pastoral career, he led several churches, including Mt. Tabor Baptist Church in Taylorsville, Welcome Grove Baptist Church in Marietta, Oak Grove Baptist Church in Cartersville, and was the founding pastor of Salacoa Creek Baptist Church in Calhoun. Known for his humility and deep prayer life, Pastor Sammy also worked at Cobb EMC for 34 years. He passed away on January 19, 2018, leaving behind a legacy of faith, love, and service to his community.
